Introducing “Trixie”, the nicely fitted 2004 Volkswagen Jetta TDI owned by Ryan Styles. We first laid our eyes on Trixie while doing the coverage rounds at Importfest 2012. The car ended up winning 1st place Aggressive Fitment class, sponsored and selected none other than us at Stretch & Poke! We were so impressed by the car that we decided to also feature Ryan’s build. However, seeing that Trixie was representing our friends at Stance Is Everything, we thought it would be appropriate to get them involved on the feature. Site owner, Dave Thomas, shot the photos and well, the rest is what you’re seeing right here!

As with most our featured vehicles, the owners never intended to go this “far” and Ryan was no exception. The TDI was bought brand new and kept stock until he left warranty-jurisdiction at 80,000km. That’s when all hell broke loose and Ryan had the stock 1.9L bored to 2.0L displacement. Along the way came a custom hybrid GT2260V turbo with a slew of accompanying hardware all built and installed in Ryan’s garage. Ryan was quick to point out the mod choices he made were based on the need to maintain a fuel-efficient and reliable car. Decision well-made as the car currently has 366,000km and is going strong!

The engine was painted Caterpillar yellow in homage to his trade and profession as a Truck & Coach technician.

Inside the car are OEM R32 seats wrapped in a custom Mercedes Benz AMG leather.

OEM R32 parts are abundant! R32 steering wheel with grey stitching, dashboard shell, pedal set, mats, brake e-boot and more!

Fitment is spot-on. Ryan chose the popular CCW Classics with brushed anodized centers in 18×8.5 +19 (front) and 18×9 +21 (rear) trim. The wheels are wrapped in Falken 512 tires and laid on the ground through a Accuair/Bagyard system (400C Viair compressor with 5 gallon tank).
