As promised, we continue to bring you coverage from our friends out west. We’re graced with the privilege of featuring Punit Patel’s Acura Integra representing illmotion and Level One. As you can tell by the photos, this is no ordinary DC2 chassis. The exterior may look familiar but its specs and work breathe a refreshing life into this timeless favorite. We don’t expect you to take our word for it so sit back, relax and enjoy this feature on one of the best cars ever engineered from Honda.

The DC2 Integra has been a favorite amongst enthusiasts since it’s debut back in 1994. It’s had a very long generational run till it was replaced with the DC5 RSX in 2002. We have a feeling Honda kept the car alive due to its strong sales, reliability, and strong B-series block. I think everyone’s dreamed or considered purchasing a DC2, including myself, and that’s exactly what happened for Punit Patel in 2006. The car wasn’t a GS-R but that was quickly rectified by replacing the motor with two different power-plants. A B18C motor was transplanted first but he soon realized a K24 would give him the power he wanted.

Punit maintains the overall theme of the car with classic Honda cleanliness. That meant keeping the OEM lines as clean and tasteful as possible. That meant choosing the right parts inside and out to set his car apart! The exterior is littered with OEM Type-R skirts and lips, a Mugen generation 1 spoiler, OEM Raybrig fogs, and VIS and Seibon carbon hood and hatch. The interior sports the venerable OEM Type-R JDM Recaro SRD seats front and back, a Key!s Racing wheel, and custom AP1 S2000 cluster!

A set of custom re-barrelled Desmond Regamasters were crafted for Punit at some respectable specs. All four corners are 16×9.5 +19 courtesy of wheelflip. Of course, running low was a mandate and challenge since the K24 motor runs a very low oil pan. Punit had to actually craft a custom skid plate to solve the constant issue of losing the pan! A set of K-Sport coilovers, Function 7 LCAs, and a Buddy Club camber kit sets off the footwork proper.
