A nice portion of our features are original photos from photographers who contribute to the site. One of the regular contributors and a good friend of mine, is Galen Wan, aka “gawaphoto“. You may have seen him at events snapping photos for coverage or doing a shoot on select neck-breaking rides. We share the same design ethics and demand for quality that Galen exhibits so when we heard he was dropping a new look on his 2008 Honda Fit, we had to be a part of this! Galen also contributes with our friends out west at illmotion.com. As such, we’ve decided to drop another collaboration feature between the two sites. The exterior was beautifully wrapped by ShinzoMedia in Lapis Blue vinyl. Note the paint-like depth and color-changes at different angles and lighting!

Galen chose the Honda Fit to be different. It never had a huge following in North America, but the chassis was popular in Japan. This of course, helped him mold the Fit into the piece of art we see. Authentic JDM parts including a Kenstyle kit, Zeal bucket seats, Endless brakes, a Greddy Turbo-kit, and a plethora of JDM dress-up parts adorn the vehicle throughout.

It was just a few days ago that we preached about Canibeat‘s motto of Quality over Everything! Galen has taken a page off that mantra and executed it tastefully. Small touches like the gator/croc-skin style roof illustrate this perfectly. The look and texture harkens back to sneaker-head memories of snake-skin Nikes! (Editor’s history lesson: Fatlace origins are from kicks and not cars btw).

Completing the package are SSR Competition wheels in 17×7.5 +42 clean and flush trim. The wheels are wrapped in one of our favorite tires, Yokohama S.Drives in 205/40/17 sizing. Managing the drop are T1R Basic and KW V2 Coilovers. Crispy clean authentic Endless brakes along with a plethora of J’s Racing parts complete the footwork.
