Event Coverage: Megaspeed 2012

We had a blast attending and sponsoring the 2012 Megaspeed custom car show! Previously known as Performance World, Megaspeed is a new show with new proprietors at the helm. Traditionally, the event had been dominated by domestic vehicles. However, we witnessed a large variety and range of enthusiasts represented throughout the show. We saw everything from American muscle, hot-rods, drag cars, imports, and rat rods. If you missed the show, we got you covered! Check out the footage below!

Last year’s Meguiar’s Canada’s Best winner – the Veilside FD3S RX-7!

Our friends at Nextmod with the baller JDM Varis and Voltex steez!

Brian’s infamous Elevated EK, as featured on Stretch & Poke!

Randi, of PASmag – on the grind!

Yudi holding it down true VIP-style at Megaspeed.

We never get sick of seeing Luis’s turbo S2000! Click here if you haven’t seen our feature on Luis’s AP2.

Dan’s S2000 never sits still on the same wheels. He shut down the show with his jaw-dropping SSR professors. Dan also took home the best aggressive fitment trophy! Congrats Dan!

Caleb’s RR-inspired FD2! We spoke to Caleb who told us he’ll be retiring the car this year and transforming it to “simply” a JDM FD2 R conversion.

The Ratrods were my personal faves from the show!

I hope you enjoyed our coverage from Megaspeed! We’d like to thank Shane, from Megaspeed, for inviting us to judge and sponsor the aggressive fitment class. Definitely looking forward to collaborating on future projects!

  1. If you have any coverage of the main hall cars I think it would be great for guys to see the craftsmanship in those cars. There’s very little in todays modern scene that can compare.
We do think alike as well. My next build will be a ~30′s era rat rod. I;m always on the hunt.

    • Sorry guys, I tried to keep the pics relevant since we are technically fitment-oriented. The Ratrods were the only exception due to personal preference. I’m quite positive you can find complete show coverage, including the classics, on the web and Flickr.
